Environmental information systems
The Habitats Directive Annex I lists 233 natural habitat types of European community importance, including a subset of priority habitats in danger of disappearance and whose natural range mainly falls within the territory of the European Union. The habitats are protected through the Natura 2000 network and EU member states report every six years on the habitats' conservation status throughout their territories.
